For a wealth of reasons

Karen is Vice President of VPA and is the firm's Managing Director for Financial Planning. She serves as her clients' personal CFO, helping them avoid frustration, confusion, and worry about financial matters. She has counseled wealthy families since 1993 and specializes in working with women and with professionals, small business owners, and clients who are newly single due to death or divorce.  Karen was chosen by Investment Advisor Magazine to serve as a board member for the inaugural Wealth Summit National Conference. She has also been a resource to journalists reporting on financial planning issues and has been quoted in several publications, including US News and World Report, Money Magazine, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Karen was accepted as a member of NAPFA, the professional organization for fee only financial advisors. NAPFA members are required to be their clients' fiduciaries and have an additional educational requisite. She is a long-time member of the Financial Planning Association. Prior to working with VPA, Karen provided financial and operational consulting services to small business owners. She received her BA in Counseling Psychology from Ithaca College and earned the CFP® designation from the College for Financial Planning. Karen lives in Chalfont with her husband Bill, a Rita’s Water Ice franchisee, and son Andrew.
