Internships at VPA

Are you hardworking, creative and heading toward an accredited degree in finance, economics or management? Nothing like an internship gives you a real world understanding of how a financial planning firm operates, from the inside out. We take our internships seriously, so come prepared to take your classroom experience and add value to a wide variety of processes – from investment committee research, to presentations for client engagements to building VPA’s brand name.

We accept applications on an ongoing basis, but candidates should be a college junior, senior or recent graduates. Preference will be given to those with degrees in finance, economics and business management/marketing.

Interns have a dedicated workspace and receive a stipend of $1,000 per month, paid in two installments of $500. Interns are considered paid consultants, therefore taxes are not withheld, making each person responsible for the payment of their own taxes.

Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume and two references. At least one reference should be from a professor who can speak to your academic accomplishments. Applications are kept active for six months and if your qualifications match our needs and requirements, we will contact you directly.
