Challenge: Divorced businesswoman seeks blueprint for personal and company finances
Challenge: Management consultant seeks a “personal CFO”
For years, Catherine would meet with VPA advisors in various cities, sometimes in airports. Besides helping her remake her investment portfolio, VPA has advised Catherine on financial strategies for her aging parents and the purchase of several businesses. We have also helped her deal with a major bank that acted as trustee over her grandparents’ estates. In addition, VPA has served as advisor for her company’s 401(k) plan.
Mary McDowell is a management consultant in finance and human resources for several nonprofit agencies in the Philadelphia area. Devoting all her energy to building her practice, she is too busy to devote sufficient time to her own financial affairs.
VPA helped Mary maximize her financial resources as she recapitalized her business, restructured her retirement nest egg, and created an estate plan. A “numbers cruncher,” but not someone who wants to make her own securities purchases, Mary finds our investment advice particularly helpful. As a single woman, she has also benefited from long-term planning that provides financial peace of mind.
